Pioneer Comes Up Short Against University

The Titans Varsity football team fell short on Friday night to the University Trojans by a final score of 33-17.  The Titan offense was led by running backs Dominic Calderon (Sr.) who had 12 carries for 98 yards and Angel Garcia (So.) who had 9 carries for 63 yards.  Guillermo Lopez (So.) had a 20 yd. field goal to add to his 2/2 PAT night.  Defense was led by Justin Botello (Jr.) who recovered a fumble and returned it 6 yards for a Titan touchdown on the first defensive possession.  The Titans will look to rebound as they travel to face the wildcats of Hacienda Heights-Wilson on Friday, September 22nd, at 7pm.
